In the area of protection of environment, safety and health protection, the company Duslo, a.s. has implemented a system of environmental management that is purposefully built, maintained and is in compliance with the model and requirements of international ISO 14001:2004. The company Istrochem o.z., branch enterprise Duslo, a.s. is certified according to the norm ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999. Duslo, a.s. subscribed to the initiative of Responsible Care in the year 1996. Responsible Care is a global initiative of chemical industry goal of which is a continuous increasing of care for environment, health and safety at production and utilization of chemical products. The initiative and name came into being in Canada in the year 1984 and gradually spread all over the world.
In the year 2005, both companies met criteria and defended the right to use RC logo for the next two years.
Principles of Responsible Care initiative
The company Duslo, a.s. undertook to carry out its business and production activities within RC so that it satisfied the principles of health protection, safety and environment, namely:
in case of interest on the part of public, to answer questions pertaining to produced chemical products and production processes from the point of view of environment.
manage the production units so that protection of health and safety of employees, public and environment protection was ensured
develop and produce chemical products in a way enabling their further safe processing, transport and use.
consider protection of health and environment a significant task when planning new production processes and developing new technologies
inform competent authorities, employees, customers and public promptly on potential risks of health hazard or threat to environment and recommend protective measures
provide a consulting to customers concerning a safe use, transport and handling with chemical products.
increase a level of knowledge and know-how by supporting of research of influence of our products, technologies and waste on health and environment.
cooperate with users and customers as well as environment authorities at solving of problems arising when handling dangerous goods.
cooperate with government institutions at development of legislation and norms of protection of safety of company, work and general environment.
support and spread principles of protection of health and environment by passing on experience and willingness to cooperate with other producers, freight forwarders and users of chemical products as well as educational institutions.
Informing of public on the state of environment in Duslo, a.s. Šaľa and with activities in protection and creation of environment is carried through:
information bulletin Duslo INFO,
AM/Assessment by management.
The bulletin Duslo INFO is distributed also to mayors of villages in the adjacent region and to executive bodies of state administration.
