History of Duslo, a.s. dates back to the year 1958 when foundations of a new plant for production of nitrogenous fertilizers were laid in Šala. Since that year, Duslo has come through several stages of development and the original production programme was gradually widened with plant protection agents, dispersions and glues, rubber industry chemicals and various special products of organic and inorganic chemistry. Duslo has since its founding come through several transformations and in 1994 the transformation to the joint-stock company took place (Duslo,a. s.). In the year 2005, Duslo, a.s. became a part of the international group Agrofert Holding, a. s., pursuing business in chemical industry, agriculture and food industry.

Duslo, a.s. acquired the shares of the company Istrochem in 2005 and Istrochem has become a branch enterprise of Duslo since 1st January 2006.

Istrochem, a.s. belongs to one of the oldest enterprises in the chemical industry. The enterprise was founded by the Swedish inventor of dynamite Alfred Nobel in the year 1873 as a part of plants of Dynamit Nobel, later Dynamit Nobel, a.s. The name of the company changed to Chemical Works Dynamit Nobel after the nationalization in 1946, later to Chemical Works of Juraj Dimitrov and to Istrochem in the year 1991. Istrochem was privatized as a joint-stock company in the year 1994 and in 2002 the company became an integral part of Agrofert Group. Since 2006 it operates as a part of the company Duslo, a.s.
